An exciting time of the year for most children of all ages that got to celebrate World Children’s day known as Barnas Verdens Dager held at KultureSkole Museum. BVD is a Children’s expo of all age groups to enjoy a 3 days seminar designed for them. PULSE South Participants were part of this wonderful expo and also performed at the BVD together with Furuset skole korps and Bjørndalskolenes musikkorps.
In preparation for this joyful day the PULSE South participants team worked together with Ante Skaug for designing their mini pop up shows. He played a very important role in giving advice on how to perform for different audience .The team focus areas that we work on was performance principles and team dynamic which was a learning curve for all. As part of our social inclusion and health promotion we work together with Furuset Skole korps and Bjørndalskolenes musikkorps for the performance at BVD.
The skole korps members were excited to get an opportunity in taking part on the expo as well as learning South African music, some of the members took part in the WINTER PULSE holidays seminar with previous PULSE South participants.What was more exciting was the rehearsal days with both skole korps, the members were so excited during the preparations and they were so eager to learn while having fun.
The Pulse team had a privilege to work with one of the events organizers Hallgeir Frydenlund. On the day of the event the Pulse team was allocated different spots were they showcased their mini pop up performances. The Pulse team had an amazing performance using different instrument like Djembe, Gum boot and brass instrument on their pop up shows, there was a lot of interaction with the audience. This is one experience the audience will never forget being engaged in dancing, playing and singing South African tunes along with the pulse team while showcasing their talent.
